hypeoldu was my Turkish newsletter and blog about media, tech and hype, from August 2017 to March 2018. I wrote 106 posts in a playful tone, turning media news into short takes, and it actually found a nice little audience.
But the quick notes I used to write in an hour or two slowly turned into essays that took two full days. I was collecting news, bookmarking, thinking, writing, hating it and writing again, until a thing I started for fun got too big for me to handle.
So I burned out and let it go. It’s still online though, and the topics haven’t changed much since then.
