# işte promiyer lig

A small website for our Fantasy Premier League mini-league, with live standings, prize periods and every lineup, built on the FPL API and GitHub Pages.

İşte Promiyer Lig is our Fantasy Premier League mini-league, and in 2025 it finally got its own website. It's a fun little side project, but it also solved a problem I'd been carrying around for two seasons.

The thing about Fantasy Premier League (FPL) is that it's a marathon, and at some point people in our league just got bored. So I started awarding people over shorter, contextualized periods, which we call prize periods, so that everyone has a new race to care about.

The problem is, I ran all of that on spreadsheets for two years, and to be honest it was a big hassle. Eventually I built a website connected to the FPL API and let it do the boring part for me.

The site has live standings, gameweek points and the period races with their prizes. You can also see every manager's lineup on a pitch, the chips and transfers they used, a Hall of Fame and the rules. Also, it has dark mode and it's mobile-first.

Under the hood it's a zero-dependency static site on GitHub Pages. A GitHub Actions job calls the FPL API every three hours and refreshes the data (the API is unofficial and undocumented, which is another topic). Anyone can fork it for their own league.

So for me, it's a small thing, but it keeps our league going the way I wanted, and best of all, I don't have to touch a spreadsheet anymore.
